    • Ticketed activities and food (crafts, lunch & treats, special experiences)

    Activity tickets are available onsite, or included with a pre-purchased Supporter Pass.

Cake Decorating Contest
Sign up and show us what you’ve got! All ages welcome.

Calling all cake decorators - seasoned pros and first-time creators alike. Bring your creativity, color, and imagination to our May Faire Cake Decorating Contest.

    • Pre-registration is encouraged (use the button above)

    • Bring your decorated cake(s) to Spirit of the Lake Community Arts

      • 5401 E Superior St, Duluth

    • Drop-off:

      • Friday, May 15, 4:00–7:00 PM or

      • Saturday, May 16, 8:00–10:00 AM

    • Include:

      • Your name

      • Contact info

      • Age (if under 18)

    • Enter as many cakes as you’d like

  • Judging begins at 11:00 AM, May 16
    Prizes awarded in categories like Best Use of Color, Intricate Details, Cupcakes, Most Unique Shape, and more
    Winners receive great prizes and local bragging rights

    Good to Know
    Cakes should be homemade and decorated from scratch
    All entries will be displayed and may be used in Cake Walks throughout the day
    Use a plate or platter you don’t need returned

    Cake Walks take place at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 1:30 PM—come try your luck and take home a sweet prize
